(1) The term of office of nominated or elected members of the Council shall be four years. Members who have expired may be re-nominated or elected subject to other provisions in this Act.
(2) If the position of a member becomes vacant before the expiration of the term of office, the position of such vacant member may be filled by nomination or election of another member for the remainder of the term.
